Indigestion – an alternative remedy

Conventional remedies such as antacid drugs, use magnesium, sodium bicarbonate or aluminium to help neutralise stomach acid and block pain.  Whilst these aren’t harmful in small doses they do interfere with other drugs, so make sure you see your GP before taking them.

You could try a natural alternative such as fennel or peppermint.  These plants have been used for centuries as digestive aids.

You must use them correctly and in the correct doses.  Just dissolve 5 ml in water to help expel gas and combat spasms and bloating.

It is essential to have the cause of any symptom diagnosed by a doctor before you decide to seek complementary therapy
