More junk food & less exercise from middle classes

Despite the millions spent by the government promoting healthy living and foods to be eaten and not eaten, a survey reveals that more of the middle classes opt for chips and fried foods more and more although the dangers of eating these types of food have been made quite clear.

During the time the survey took they actually halved their consumption of wholemeal bread, swapping it for leading white varieties.

The portion of fruit and vegetables had dropped to less than one portion a day for 20% of women & 40% of men.

Exercise rates have dropped to an alarmingly low rate. These findings were worrying for government officials considering they are spending £150million a year and another £80million specifically for promoting healthy eating and lifestyles to schools
