Hair facts

·                       There are between 100,000 and 150,000 hairs on our heads, with a blondes tending to have the most, whilst redheads have the least.

·                       Hair growth is at a rate of about 1cm (½”) per month - sometimes more when the sun shines.

·                       Each hair grows for three to five years before falling out.

·                       We shed between 60 and 70 hairs a day, so don’t worry too much about the hair in your hair brush up.

·                       And hair colour stabilizes at puberty, although woman may go from wavy to straight, or vice versa, usually during periods of hormonal upheaval, such as pregnancy or the menopause.
