Yet another study from across the water, this time from Harvard who
has carried out one of the largest studies on whether eggs are bad for
you.
Up to now studies have been carried out which have shown that 1 egg
per day does not cause a surge in cholesterol levels. This new study also
shows that eggs are not a cause of heart disease. That is as long as you are
not diabetic in which case eating an egg a day will double the risk of heart
disease.
The researchers think this may have something to do with the
insulin disorder that a diabetic suffers, as it prevents them from breaking
down the cholesterol properly. One for Edwina!! |
