Rome wasn't built in a day
So! You've decided you need to put your life into order. The first thing to do is to get your health sorted out.
A diet or healthier eating regime and a fitness programme are ideal starting points. It seems a lot to do all at once, but don't be daunted by the prospect. The end results will be worth it.

Firstly don't change or tackle too much at once. Be more realistic and set some goals. If you drink more than 3 cups of tea or coffee a day, reduce your caffeine intake.

Substitute water. Make this one change and stick with just this change until you feel confident to take the next step. There is no need to pressure yourself. Besides which if you've been eating and drinking the wrong way for years it's going to take some time to adjust for the benefits to be felt. Set realistic goals to achieve.

If you want to lose a lot of weight set a goal at half a stone to start with. The feeling of success will really boost your moral. If you feel peckish, try keeping "good" foods on hand for when you feel the need to eat something. Carrots or fruit make ideal nibbles The same goes when starting your exercise programme.
Any fitness regime should be commenced with care and the intensity built up over a period of time. Keep a diary of your progress. Don't feel deprived, reward and treat yourself to a non-food treat such as a massage, facial, good book, trip to the cinema and so on, when you achieve your first goal.

Remember other lifestyles also play an important part in overall health and well-being. Try to reduce smoking and alleviate stress. Increase your exercise or physical activity, doing a little more each week until you reach your limits. The overall result will be a more relaxed, healthier person.
