About our Pull Up Towers

We’re charged and passionate to show you how to utilise your own body to feel stronger, perform better and look incredible. A pull up tower is a wondrous way we can help you do this, using tried and tested bodyweight exercises to train in a natural way, a sure fire way to find your feel good!

There’s a strong chance you want equipment that targets as many muscles as possible, consider that box ticked, for your upper body at least. With dips, tilt forward to focus on your outer chest and front deltoids (shoulders), keep upright to place the focus on your triceps.

For pull ups, keep a nice wide overhand grip to hone in on your lats (outer back), a closer grip will recruit muscles from your middle back (lower traps) a little more. Chin ups on the other hand, use an underhand grip to shift the focus to your biceps (arms) while still getting some action from the lats too.

And let’s not forget the abs! Start with knee raises and work up to straight leg raises. Make sure you get those knees or legs up way past your waist otherwise you’ll get zero impact on those lower abs, for the upper abs revert to the classic sit up (yes; they’re still a useful exercise).

In general, most pull up towers will accommodate all these fantastic bodyweight movements. The main variation is how robust they are, vital considerations are the user weight capacity and of course; dimensions. If you don’t have space for one don’t worry, you can still smash your goals without, but they do add a refreshing new dynamic and highly effective new angle to your training, no matter your ability.

We’re determined to help you lead an active lifestyle in a way that’s convenient and sustainable for you, we’d be thrilled to hear from you. Chat with us on-site, at hello@exercise.co.uk or on 0345 1666 200.
