Power Rack

Power racks, also known as power cages or squat cages, are a great choice for your home gym. They consist of a cage that surrounds you whilst you exercise, mechanically spotting you while you lift your weights.

Smith Machine

You can also use Smith machines for weight training. They consist of a barbell that is fixed within the rails to allow for vertical movements. A Smith machine is often the first choice for weight training, allowing you to do basic exercises.

The biggest selling point of the Smith machine is that it offers many safety features. It will allow you to push yourself to your absolute limits without compromising safety. If your muscles fail you, or you just want to see what you're capable of, you can do it without having to worry about dropping the weights or injuring yourself. The motion range is a little limited because of the way this machine works.
